THE GENERAL’S WIFE: Episode 11

THE GENERAL’S WIFE
Episode 11

Teni’s entire body froze as she locked eyes with Kola through the tinted window of the black SUV.

The engine hummed softly, a low warning of what was to come.

She wanted to run.

But she knew Kola wouldn’t have come alone.

Her breath quickened. Slowly, she glanced around.

Two men stood near the entrance of the restaurant.

Another leaned against a parked motorcycle across the street.

They were watching her.

Waiting.

She was trapped.

Kola finally stepped out of the SUV, his polished military boots clicking against the pavement.

He wore a crisp black shirt with the sleeves rolled up, his broad shoulders tense.

But it was his eyes that terrified her the most—cold, emotionless, like a predator studying its prey.

Teni’s throat was dry. “K-Kola…”

He said nothing at first, just stood there, staring at her.

Then, in a dangerously calm voice, he said, “Get in the car, Teni.”

Teni’s fingers dug into the wooden bench beneath her. “Where are you taking me?”

Kola tilted his head. “Do you think you have a choice?”

Teni’s heart pounded. “Kola, please… whatever you’re planning, don’t do this.”

A muscle twitched in his jaw.

“Get. In. The. Car.”

Teni knew she had no way out.

If she ran, his men would catch her.

If she refused, Kola would make her regret it.

Her hands trembled as she slowly stood up.

Without another word, she walked toward the SUV.

Kola opened the door for her.

She hesitated, glancing at him one last time.

Then, with a deep breath, she got inside.

Kola shut the door and moved to the driver’s seat.

The moment he stepped in, the locks clicked shut.

Teni’s heart pounded harder.

She was trapped.

And now, she was completely at Kola’s mercy.

The car moved smoothly through the city, heading toward an unknown destination.

Teni clenched her hands together on her lap, afraid to speak.

Kola drove in silence, his grip on the wheel tight.

Finally, after a long stretch of silence, he spoke.

“Richard is gone.”

Teni’s breath caught. “What do you mean?”

“He’s on a plane,” Kola said flatly. “I made sure of it.”

Teni’s hands trembled. “You… you let him go?”

Kola let out a bitter chuckle. “Did you think I would kill him?”

Teni looked away. “I don’t know what you’re capable of anymore, Kola.”

He was silent for a moment. Then he said, “You destroyed me, Teni.”

Her eyes stung with tears. “I didn’t mean to.”

“But you did.”

Teni wiped her eyes. “Where are we going?”

Kola didn’t answer immediately.

Then, after a pause, he said, “Home.”

Teni’s stomach twisted. “What?”

“You’re still my wife,” Kola said. “And you will remain my wife.”

Teni turned to him in shock. “Kola, I thought you wanted me gone—”

“I did,” he admitted. “But then I realized something.”

Teni swallowed hard. “What?”

Kola’s grip on the wheel tightened. “You don’t deserve an easy escape.”

A chill ran down Teni’s spine.

“What are you saying?” she whispered.

Kola finally turned to look at her, his dark eyes filled with something unreadable.

“You’re coming back home, Teni,” he said. “But this time, things will be different.”

Teni’s breath hitched.

Kola was planning something.

Something terrible.

And she had just walked straight into his trap.

When they arrived at their house, everything looked the same.

The neatly trimmed lawn. The polished gates. The soft glow of the security lights.

But something felt different.

Darker.

Kola parked the SUV and turned off the engine.

“Get out,” he ordered.

Teni hesitated but obeyed.

As soon as she stepped out, she realized something strange.

There were no guards outside.

No maids.

The house was eerily silent.

She turned to Kola. “Where is everyone?”

Kola stepped beside her. “Gone.”

Teni’s brows furrowed. “What do you mean, gone?”

Kola’s lips curled into a small, chilling smile. “I gave them time off. I wanted us to be alone.”

Teni’s pulse quickened.

Alone?

Why?

She turned toward the house, her legs heavy with fear.

Kola walked ahead and opened the door.

Teni hesitated before stepping inside.

The living room was dimly lit.

The walls, once filled with family pictures, were now bare.

Teni’s stomach tightened.

Everything felt… lifeless.

Kola shut the door behind them and locked it.

The sound of the bolt sliding into place made her shiver.

Then he turned to her.

“You once promised to love me forever,” Kola said quietly.

Teni’s breath hitched. “Kola—”

“You broke that promise,” he continued, stepping closer.

Teni took a step back. “Kola, please…”

He ignored her plea.

“You made me look like a fool,” he said, his voice dangerously soft.

Teni’s back hit the wall.

Kola stood in front of her now, trapping her.

“But don’t worry, my love,” he whispered. “We have all the time in the world to fix this.”

Teni’s entire body shook.

She had escaped him once.

But now, she was back in his house.

Back in his control.

And something told her…

This was only the beginning of her nightmare.
