I couldn’t breathe.
Something cold and invisible wrapped around my throat, tightening with each second. I gasped, clawing at my neck, but there was nothing there—just the overwhelming pressure suffocating me. My body trembled, my lungs burned, and my vision blurred.
I tried to open my eyes, but something kept shutting them.
This is it… I’m going to die…
Darkness consumed me.
Then, suddenly—
I gasped as my eyes shot open.
I was drenched in sweat, my body trembling violently. My heart slammed against my chest as I struggled to sit up. Air filled my lungs in ragged gulps, my throat sore as if I had been screaming.
I looked around the dimly lit room. Everything seemed… normal. But I knew better. The lingering cold, the suffocating weight in the air—she was still here.
I stood up in a panic. I needed to get out.
Without thinking, I ran towards the door, my footsteps heavy against the floor. My breath came in sharp, uneven bursts. As I reached for the handle, a voice rang through the room.
A scream.
“You can’t get away from me!”
The words sliced through my mind like a dagger, freezing me in place. My hands trembled as I gripped the door handle, twisting it with all my strength.
Nothing.
The door refused to budge.
I yanked again, my pulse skyrocketing.
“Come on, come on!” I muttered through gritted teeth.
I turned back, scanning the room. There was no one there. But the voice—the presence—it was everywhere. Surrounding me. Consuming me.
“You belong to me,” the voice whispered, sending chills down my spine.
I felt a cold breath against my neck.
I spun around, my eyes darting frantically. Nothing.
“LEAVE ME ALONE!” I screamed, slamming my fists against the door.
As if answering my plea, the door creaked open on its own.
I stumbled back, my breathing uneven. The hallway beyond was pitch black, an endless abyss.
